Vision and Goals

I. Introduction
One of the marks of a healthy, dynamic church is vision. The Bible declares in Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” George Barna in his book The Power of Vision writes “One of the major differences between churches that are vibrant and growing and those that are withering away is whether or not they have a vision for the ministry. Visionless congregations don’t grow numerically or spiritually. Deciding to maintain the status quo is not vision.” The following is the vision for ministry of Calvary Chapel here in the White Mountains…

II. To Preach and Teach the Word of GOD – Acts 5:42
To teach God’s children His Word, His truths and His love (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Timothy 4:1-4)

III. Evangelism/Outreach – Acts 1:8
Our pattern of evangelism/outreach is modeled after Acts 1:8. We believe in outreach to our local community as well as the world around us.

IV. Effectual Worship of GOD – John 4:24
Our worship services are yielded to the control of the Holy Spirit. We believe they should be inspirational so we give a great place to music in our worship. We believe they should be intelligent so we diligently study the Word of God, the Bible, verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, book-by-book. We believe our worship should be fruitful so we look for God’s love as the supreme manifestation in our lives.

V. Ministry – 2 Timothy 4:5
One of the marks of a healthy church is body ministry, ministry to and by the saints. Ministry opportunities abound at Calvary Chapel. Check the current church bulletin for existing opportunities to become involved in the Lord’s work here.
